Bankruptcy Counseling

Bankruptcy Counseling: $40.00 (to offset agency cost)

The Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005 requires pre-filing bankruptcy counseling before a person can file for bankruptcy. To schedule an appointment, simply call our office at 255.5166 or 1.800.737.5485 to find a convenient time. We will send you an information packet that you will complete and bring with you to your appointment. During your bankruptcy counseling session, you will meet one-on-one with our certified financial counselor who will evaluate your financial situation and explain the bankruptcy process and the resulting impact of filing bankruptcy.  Upon session completion, you will receive the necessary certificate to file bankruptcy. The counseling fee of $40.00 may be paid with cash, cashier's check, or money order.
