Asheville Homeownership Fair and DPA

DPA stands for “Down Payment Assistance.” Those who keep up with housing policies in Asheville know that in February City Council approved the allocation of $1.4 million for Down Payment Assistance Program to create home ownership opportunities for low-income residents. The funding comes from $1million in bond money and $400K from the Federal Home Loan Bank.

On May 18th, OnTrack WNC and other nonprofits, lenders, and realtors participated in the City of Asheville’s “Pathway to Homeownership Fair” at Stevens Lee. Nearly 120 individuals & families attended and 70 completed affordable housing surveys
